Statement
Process is defined as a systematic series of actions directed to some end. My paintings are a derived from an unpredictable series of actions in which I am searching for an undetermined result that is both satisfying and challenging. The process of finding the end or the "thing" becomes the thing itself. The painting becomes about the act of painting. I recurrently define a set of rules to govern the world that the painting creates, and then break those rules to redefine them again. At the same time, I am maintaining common denominators from one painting to another. My paintings are of the same world, but assert themselves individually.
